Lizzy Booth is a New York and Connecticut based actor, director, producer, and Shakespeare lover. Lizzy is the Executive Producer of the Masquerade Theatre, as well as a member of the board of directors at the Sherman Playhouse in Sherman CT, and at the core of her work is a deep devotion to exploring the complexities of human nature through art, as she believes that theater, in all its forms, is a powerful tool for fostering empathy, personal growth, and community. 

MOST RECENTLY:

Lizzy played Marie in Away by Cecilia Wisky in the New York Theater Festival and Lydia in Performing Arts Collaborative’s Pride and Prejudice: Meanwhile at Longbourne. Lizzy has also recently been involved in several Kulturkanonen Drunk Shakepeare productions and played Beatrice in The Masquerade Theatre’s production of Much Ado About Nothing at the Court Square Theatre.

In 2022, Lizzy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Holy Apostles College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English in the Humanities and Philosophy.

Directing:

Lizzy recently directed a Drunk Kulturkanonen production of Much Ado About Nothing, a staged Reading of Stop Kiss by Diana Son, and the original short play Always Burning by Sarah C. Wolk.

Lizzy played Laura in her Conservatory production of Significant Other and CB’s Sister in Dog Sees God at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Her other most recent acting credits include Bill Slank/Hawking Clam in Peter and the Starcatcher (Ridgefield Theater Barn), Beba in Night of the Assassins (Brookfield Theatre), Governess in The Turn of the Screw (Powerhouse Theater), and Asha in Blood at the Root (Brookfield Theatre).

Lizzy also originated the roles of Kendall in Welcome to Clayton (Rogue Theater Festival) and Debbie in You Can’t Judge a Book by Its Cover (Stella Adler Studio of Acting).

Lizzy has a special love for the works of Shakespeare and has also played Hero in Much Ado About Nothing (JCC in Sherman), Miranda in The Tempest (Sherman Playhouse), and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Edmond Town Hall). She is also the Founder and Executive Producer of the Masquerade Theatre. In addition to playing Beatrice at the Court Squae Theatre, Lizzy also recently directed virtual performances of Twelfth Night, where she played Olivia, and Much Ado About Nothing, where she played Hero and Conrade.
